The Orthotic/Insole

Orthotics, or insoles, can be used to help control and correct the alignment of the foot and in some cases they are provided purely for comfort and shock absorption.

An Orthotic is a specially fitted insole or insert for a shoe or boot, it is usually prescribed for any of the conditions listed on the previous page. The function of an orthotic is to realign the skeletal system so the muscles ligaments and tendons are not under pressure thus reducing the risk of injury.

The realignment of the skeletal system can help reduce the pain and symptoms associated with many biomechanical conditions.

The orthotics are lightweight and durable and can be adjusted on site at any time.

The orthotics are sports or lifestyle specific, we offer predominantly cycling and running insoles.

Orthotics can be reproduced for any style of footwear ranging from heavy work boots to ladies’ city shoes and we recommend visiting Jonathan Draper at White Rose Clinic for anyone with an extensive foot problem and for a wider range of orthotic.
